Deportivo La Coruna has closed the season with promotion to La Liga, and now its sports management, led by Fernando Soriano, is preparing to assemble a squad in line with the demands of the competition. The first signing, almost sealed, is that of Teun Gijselhart, a 21-year-old defensive midfielder who played for De Graafschap, fourth-placed in the Dutch second division. Gijselhart will sign for the Dépor for one million euros and has already visited the club's facilities. In an interview, he confirmed that he fell in love with the Dépor project and feels welcome in A Coruña. The Dépor is also interested in Alex Calatrava, a 25-year-old midfielder who currently plays for Castellón and has been one of the stars of Spanish second division football. The operation to sign the player could cost up to 7 million euros. The Dépor is also following Angeliño, a left-back who currently plays for AS Roma and could be a great addition to the Dépor squad. However, the salary he receives in the Roma could be an obstacle to the operation.
